The mission of the virtuous man is to restore the balance of nature through the care of the land and the use of traditional and/or innovative techniques that are as least invasive as possible on the normal development of the plant.
This is why Fausto Andi only cultivates historical native vines that respect the vocation of our land: the Oltrepò Pavese.
Fausto Andi has always been a free spirit, who has travelled his own path listening to everyone, comparing himself with everyone but finally only following his own ideas. Innovator, scrapper, stubborn, extremist to most and finally a winner with his own outsized, unconventional but brilliant wines. An advocate of respect for the land, craftsmanship and balance of elements in wine that disregards individual parameters to achieve the highest expression of the grape variety for that land. An artisan winemaker, a thinking man guided by intuition and ability who does not conform to mainstream and commercial principles but follows his own logic and coherence, adjusting his work from time to time to seek out the best expression of vintage for the best possible wine, making it de facto unrepeatable.
