In the hills of Faenza near the “Oriolo dei Fichi” zone in Emilia Romagna, these vineyards are located in a fortified historical site dating back to 1457 and are among the oldest in Italy. This old family vineyard respects the native preserved varieties while using advanced, modern systems. At Ancarani, the native varieties of Sangiovese, Albana, Centesimino, and Famoso, are all grown with respect for tradition.
