Abrostine is an ancient Tuscan native red grape already used by the Etruscans. This grape was still present at the time of Lorenzo de I Medici, but at the end of the 1900s, it was almost extinct. Federico Staderini chose to produce "Sempremai Sorte" Abrostine as a pure wine because of its aromatic uniqueness and its spiciness. The grapes ripen in the last ten days of October, just before the first snow falls on the mountains, and once destemmed by hand they ferment in small oak and chestnut vats.
